FG Payment of 5,000 Naira – As you might have heard, the federal government of Nigeria through the president promised to start payment of 5000 Naira monthly stipend to all unemployed youths.
As Npower beneficiaries receive 30,000 monthly, it will also be good if unemployed graduates and non-graduates get paid monthly to help curb the level of poverty in Nigeria.
This is one of the social investment programme created by president Mohammadu Buhari to help boost the economy of the nation.
Recall that 500 billion Naira was approved in the 2016 budget for this programme. It is time to register at the federal government unemployment registration portal and start receiving your stipend.
Not all states are eligible to receive the said 5000 monthly stipend. You have to check the list of states here to know if your state is included.
As at now, only the nine pilot states that have an existing social register are eligible. If your state is among the nine pilot states in Nigeria, continue reading to discover procedures to claim the FG disbursement of 5000.
State whose social register is ready will be enrolled into the programme immediately.
Borno State, Kwara State, Bauchi State, Cross River State, Niger State, Kogi State, Ogun State, and Ekiti State are some states in the first batch of the conditional cash transfer (CCT).
Some out of the states listed above have started receiving their own payment. Others will follow up soon.
Procedure to Receive 5,000 Payment from Federal Government
Note that the 5,000 will be paid to unemployed youths only. If you are currently employed (Self-employed included), you need not apply.
