The federal government of Nigeria is now considering the proposal of Nigerian Governors Forum to recruit npower cadets or NYSC corps members as police personnel.
The recruitment will be done in efforts to boost the manpower of the Nigeria Police Force
From the report we gathered, the FG and governors believe that the ongoing recruitment of 10,000 policemen to tackle the paucity of security agents in the country was inadequate, hence the need of extra workforce to beef up security.
The Recruitment will only favour N-power volunteers whose two-year service will soon come to an end or currently serving youth corps members.

Things to Note
The recruitment of Npower volunteers as police personnel is yet to start. We have already started receiving messages and calls asking us if the recruitment has started.
Some asked if it is true that the Federal Government need Npower Batch A for state Police, while others want to know if they will be resolved before the recruitment or continue with their PPA till the recruitment starts.
The Recruitment is yet to start and it’s only for those whose service will end soon. There are no modalities for the recruitment yet, let’s await the official announcement from FG.
How to Apply for Npower-Police Recruitment 2019
When the arrangement is finalized, the Federal government will announce the portal that will be used for the recruitment.
Npower or NYSC members will have to use that portal to submit their application online. Shortlisted candidates will become federal government workers (permanent employment)
