The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has also launched a mobile app available to all Nigerians. You can download the app from Google play store on your android phone or App store on your iPhone.
You can only use the mobile app to download and print your nimc identity card, after downloading the app and registering with your nin and phone number, you will see the option to view your ID card. You can download and print it in a plastic card, this will help you to get your card faster without having to visit collection center.

How to Retrieve your National Identification Number (NIN)
There are basically two ways to check or retrieve your National Identification Number (NIN). You can use USSD code to retrieve your NIN; you can as well retrieve it online by visiting the web portal meant for that.
How to Retrieve NIMC Details using USSD Code
To retrieve your NIMC details by dialing a code on your phone, follow the steps below. This process should be done using the phone number you submitted during the online registration.
Open your phone dial pad and press *346#
A command will pop up, reply ‘1’ to choose NIN Retrieval Option if you are dialing from the phone number you used in registering you NIN.
Reply ‘2’ to choose NIN Search if you have lost your number, you will be required to input some of your registration details
You will be charged #20 to complete the nin ussd retrieval process.
How to Check/Retrieve National Identification Number Online
Currently, there is no online portal to retrieve NIN. So, all those who want to check their NIMC number should use the ussd option. It works for all sim cards (Glo, MTN, 9Mobile, Airtel).
